Working hard on eliminating noise out of the text for an easy and clean read. ππΎ
It took me some time to come up with the subtext, and what the book is REALLY about. Itβs about you, empowered on the court, in control of the things that are possible πͺπ

Improving performance consists of so much more than just hitting the tennis ball.
One area of huge importance is training reaction time. By training our vision to see faster, we can literally slow the ball (and therefore the game) down, and see the ball better = resulting in cleaner contact points and more time for decision making.
This little toy #vectorball came just in time.
Sounds like fun? Letβs Go ππΎπ₯

Head stability on take back and forward swing is KEY to a solid shot.
Eyes track the ball, so the more stable the head is, the more stable your eyes are ππ
And all you need is a mirror and a weight to practice it and get so much more fire behind your ball π₯πΎπ¨
In this video, @rebarm is using a XS YBELL which allows for a perfect grip. @ybellfitness

The forehand down the line placement shot in doubles is HUGE!πͺπΎπ¨
It opens up the court, sets you up for another forehand, and keeps the net player on their toes.
How often do you practice it?
Great talk with Dr. Anthony Ross from Australia. Very useful information to all of you working on your awareness, acceptance, patience, understanding, and commitment to yourself and your tennis! π§ ππΎπ

One of the best experiences of my life - at the @australianopen in 2008.
Besides coaching one of my favourite people in the world @torquay19 I also had the chance to small talk with @anaivanovic π, run into a high school friend, learn that kiwiβs are meant to be eaten with the skin on, and watch some of the best matches from a private box (thanks @ritchiebros π)

The Aussie Open is my favourite tournament. Whatβs yours??π
βWant a massage? Book your time online. Want a tennis lesson? Please hold.β
Can anyone relate? π
How much time (and energy) do you waste in the process of booking a tennis lesson? π₯΄πΎ
Tennis is one of the only industries that require you to still communicate back and forth with a coach or Club before settling on a lesson time (IF YOU GET LUCKY). π₯³π₯³π₯³
This could mean anywhere from two to multiple emails, phone calls, text messages back and forth and everyone loses out. π¨ππ₯
Happy to announce that you can book a time with me directly though www.calendly.com/budimactennis (link in BIO) for an IN PERSON or VIRTUAL COACHING session (examples include technical analysis, match play observations, goal setting...)

Donβt let what you cannot do interfere what you can do. (Quote by John Wooden)
No matter your level of play, biomechanics need to be felt and this exercise does just that. Let your body move and swing away ππ
Hate getting lobbed? Me too. π
But thereβs some fun to be found if you get your tush back fast enough and rip an overhead through the middle of the court. π¨πΎπ
Try this drill next time with your partner. And as soon as you see that ball leaving their racquet, move!!
Happy Monday πΎπ₯

Miss playing doubles??
You do not need to stop developing your game just because two on two is not an option right now. π€·π»ββοΈπ¨
There are SO MANY options for drills that can be done with one player on each side of the net, and we have filmed some of our favourites for you π¬πΎπ
Hereβs one... ππ
Ever feel like you just canβt Center your volley on the racquet? π₯΄π¨
The best volleyers in the world keep it compact and where they can see the ball. πΎπ
Makes life much easier at the net...
Next time you play try this tip from The Brian Brothers (which I have witnessed work for hundreds of players when teaching), and keep your elbows in front of your rib cage when at the net ππ₯π
